On Saturday, Texas A&M will try to bounce back against Alabama in a crucial game in the SEC. Price per head agents saw the Aggies lose their last two contests – one to the Ole Miss Rebels and another one to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, but in their last two games against the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Aggies were able to cover the spread, and this includes their 49-42 loss last year at home as the underdogs by 8.5 points.
Alabama’s betting line opened with the Crimson Tide as the favorites at Bryant-Denny Stadium by 12 points.
This time around, the Aggies will obviously not take on another Mississippi team, and were 5-0 before they dropped two consecutive ones. Texas A&M were also the dogs in the team’s last two games against the Crimson Tide, and they did a good job on the field in both of these meetings, and many fans remember that two years back they won their last game on the road 29-24.
Kenny Hill is Texas A&M’s QB under center, and was able to win 52-28 at South Carolina in the team’s season opening game, and in three starts on the road they went 2-1 SU and ATS. Last week, Hill was able to throw for 401 yards with two TD’s and two interceptions when they lost 35-20 at home to Ole Miss, and in three games in a row, the player was able to record 365 or more passing yards.
The Crimson Tide are 6-0 ATS in their last six games played at home against opponents in the SEC, and price per head agents know that the team must make a very good finish if they want to have a chance of getting a spot for the playoffs. Last week, Alabama beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 14-13, and weren’t able to cover as the favorites by nine points. However, in the team’s last SEC game played at home before their bye week got underway, they were able to demolish the Florida Gators 42-21.
This season, the Tide’s defense did not concede more than 23 points so far in any of their games played, and will take on a Texas A&M side who just recorded a point total which is a season low. Alabama are also 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings that they played as the favorites at home.
