The Bears are 8-3-1 ATS in the last twelve games that they played on a Monday night, and pay per head services know that these include a win a month ago to the Packers.
Dallas are only 1-7 ATS the last eight times that they featured on Monday Night Football, and many fans can’t wait to see Chicago take on Dallas at home on Monday night in a matchup settled on Wednesday with the odds being even.
The betting line opened up with the Bears being the favorites by one point, but it went to even, and 49.5 was the total.
Having beaten the Giants and Raiders in straight wins, the Cowboys are the ones currently at the top of the NFC East – over the Eagles thanks to a tiebreaker. Dallas are still not very impressive, as shown by the numbers. The team has a ranking of 27th place in their rushing, 24th place in their total offense, and in their defense they’re last.
But Dallas, in contrast to the last years, were able to win some games that they usually end up losing, as they rallied to take out Minnesota and held off the Giants as well as the Raiders, so many experts believe that the Cowboys might be more confident now.
Finally, they’re able to cover because Chicago can’t. This season they’re quite a mess, and in 11 recent games played at home they’re at 1-9-1 ATS.
The Bears played without the services of QB Jay Cutler, but Josh McCown – their backup – did a pretty good job. Chicago only have to get a bit more help with their defense, which only surrendered 246 yards against Minnesota on the ground.
Last Sunday, the Bears should have been the ones to beat the Vikings, but Robbie Gould, who’s usually a kicker well known to be dependable, missed a shot when they game went to overtime. This season, the Bears ended up losing six meetings, but they would have been able to win four of them with some luck.
The Cowboys could be the ones to win this clash, in a game whose total could very well go over. Now, many experts and pay per head agents have a hunch that the team to go for in this game should be the Bears, but what will ultimately happen on the field remains to be seen. However, they do believe that this could prove to be a very close matchup.
