Deron Williams, point guard for the Nets who’s very famous with bookmaker software services, made a comeback after an injury to the rib in his team’s 102-100 win on Monday against the Clippers.
The player left the bench and was in action for 29 minutes, being able to contribute 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds in the meeting.
Williams wasn’t able to play for the team’s last 11 meetings after a fractured rib cartilage that worried many fans. Brooklyn were struggling on the court without the player’s services, as in January they had a ranking of 25th place when it came to efficiency in their offence.
“I was happy to be back out there, but I was happier to get a win,” said the player. “It’s tough when your team is struggling and you can’t be out there with them. I didn’t feel winded at all.”
With Williams’ return to action, starter Jarrett Jack was able to rest just a little bit more. In their game on Friday night, the player could only sit for 47 seconds when the Nets lost the meeting with the Raptors in overtime.
Jack recorded an average of 37.4 minutes in that time, as Williams only played for four minutes in the team’s last 13 matches due to his injury and Darius Morris – third-string player who turned into a backup – was very inefficient on the court.
Nevertheless, Jack was able to play against the Clippers for 40 minutes, and there were only 1.3 seconds left in the game when he made the score that won the meeting.
Brooklyn, who are 19-28, were able to break a skid of four games when they clinched their win on Monday, but in their last 15 matches they’re only 3-12, something that many fans hope will change – and hopefully soon enough.
Williams, 30-years-old, entered the game on Monday having a season average of 13.9 points and 6.3 assists made per game , on a 39.6% shooting. Bookmaker software services saw that the player was leaving the bench before he suffered the injury.
Fans of the Nets would like to see how Williams continues to perform, and even though some of them are still concerned about his injury, they’re very happy to see the player return to the team, and are confident that he’ll help lead them to many wins in future games.
