Jim Dolan won’t be punished by the NBA for controversial email

Adam Silver, commissioner for the NBA, spoke with the New York Post, telling them that James Dolan, the Knicks’ owner, won’t get a punishment after offending an already upset fan, and bookmaker software services saw plenty of controversy in the email.

When he responded an email sent by fan Irving Bierman, who was highly critical of Dolan’s management and ownership of the Knicks, the owner called Bierman “an alcoholic”, and he also told him to become a Nets fan because he’s not wanted by the team.

On Monday, Silver spoke about the email sent on Monday by Dolan.

“Jim is a consummate New Yorker,” said Silver. “Jim got an unkind email and responded with an unkind email.”

Bierman, 73-years-old, said that he wanted to send an email to Dolan due to his unhappiness over the way that he was handling the team. Bierman was a fan of the Knicks since 1952, something that many fans believe complicated things a bit more.

“I just felt enough is enough is enough,” said Bierman.

In the first email sent by Bierman, he said that he was feeling embarrassed over the way that the owner handled the team, and said that he did “a lot of utterly STUPID business things with the franchise.” Bierman also asked Dolan to sell the Knicks.

When he responded, Dolan said that Bierman was “a sad person.”

“Why would anybody write such a hateful letter. I am.just guessing but ill bet your life is a mess and you are a hateful mess,” wrote Dolan. “What have you done that anyone would consider positive or nice. I am betting nothing. In fact ill bet you are negative force in everyone who comes in contact with you. You most likely have made your family miserable. Alcoholic maybe. I just celebrated my 21 year anniversary of sobriety. You should try it. Maybe it will help you become a person that folks would like to have around. In the mean while start rooting for the Nets because the Knicks dont want you. Respectfully James Dolan.”

It’s no secret that New York had a lot of problems in Dolan’s time as the team’s owner, which started in 1999. In the last 14 years, they were only able to win one playoff series, and this is something that many fans are obviously not very happy with.

This season, the Knicks are 10-41, and bookmaker software services hope to see things change for them. At this point, many fans believe it doesn’t matter what the team has to do improve, but changes must definitely be made.
