NBA Playoff Predictions for Saturday’s Games

The NBA playoff predictions are finally here so let’s take a look at Saturday’s games and how they match up in the NBA preview odds.

Saturday afternoon sees the first match at 12:35 PM ET as the Washington Wizards (46-36) head to the Toronto Raptors (49-33) at the Air Canada Centre. The Raptors already have a leg up over the Wizards, beating them in the regular season in a series sweep before the All Star break, but there won’t be time for the Raptors to think of that as they’ll be up against Washington’s impressive ‘House of Guards’, Bradley Beal and John Wall.

On the next game, sportbook software services has the New Orleans Pelicans (45-7) at the Golden State Warriors (67-15) at 3:35 PM ET. We don’t envy the Pelicans in this matchup, but someone had to draw the short straw. New Orleans has no injured players, so that is in their favor against the Warriors with forward David Lee questionable with a lower back injury. (although as a reserve player his absence barely makes a difference)

The third game of the day is the Milwaukee Bucks (41-41) at the Chicago Bulls (50-32) at 7:05 PM ET. Derrick Rose only played 10 minutes in the first half of Wednesday win against the Atlanta Hawks, but says the short playing time was precautionary and he will play more Saturday. If he isn’t up for the challenge, or suffers another injury, the Bucks just may take this series.

Sportsbook software services report that the last game will be at 9:35 PM ET with the Dallas Mavericks (50-32) at the Houston Rockets (56-26). This game will be especially brutal as every team in the Southwest division made it to the NBA playoff predictions and Houston and Dallas have a notorious rivalry. The Mavericks may have lost three of four games to the Rockets in the regular season, but they can take the lead and must work on staying ahead, and hopefully forward Chandler Parsons’ knee will be better for the game.

Current NBA early odds:

Washington Wizards 196½
Toronto Raptors -4½

New Orleans Pelicans 205½
Golden State Warriors -12

Milwaukee Bucks 193½
Chicago Bulls -7

Dallas Mavericks 210
Houston Rockets -5½
