Basketball Odds: Who’s in line for the NBA MVP?

Who will win the NBA MVP race? As the 2015 regular season comes to an end a few front-runners come to mind, but will it be your pick in the basketball odds?

James Harden of the Houston Rockets is currently at the top of the live betting perch, averaging 27.2 points per game this year, and 5.7 rebounds. Last week he posted 31 points in a game that saw the Rockets lose to Toronto. (due to a great night by DeMar DeRozan, who scored 42 points.)

His last four games he averaged 28 points a game and with Houston’s success, Harden’s chances at the MVP are even better as he focuses on his future basketball odds.

Asked what was different about him this year, he replied, “Focus.”

“Just more comfortable, knowing my teammates, being comfortable with myself on the court,” Harden said in an interview with The Associated Press. “Knowing how to get shots, knowing how to get my teammates shots, and once I feel comfortable I can worry about doing other things.”

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is another favorite from the top player trophy and right now Curry is averaging 24 points and eight assists. He is a top rated player, who is recently shooting 29 points per game in the last 5 games.

With Curry improving his defense as well as offense, he has every right to win, and maybe more so than who has been the recent favorite.

Curry was recently named Western Conference player of the week, his second in his career. He is 6th in the NBA this season for points and still has a couple of games to prove his worth.

Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been on fire this pas month. In a losing game to Utah Westbrook still managed to get 37 points per game, eight rebounds and six assists.

This powerhouse point guard has had to take the brunt of the work as teammate Kevin Durant is out for the rest of the year with scheduled surgery on his foot.
