It has been almost two months since the soccer season ended in Spain, which was marked by a series of four Classic games between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, and culminating with Barcelona's win over Manchester United in the
UEFA Champions League final on May 29th.

For its part, the defending BBVA Spanish Champions, FC Barcelona, will face a difficult start in the 2011/12 season as the opening games are tough ones.

On August 21st, Barcelona will play against Malaga, which has been making big changes in the Spanish transfer market as their Coach, Manuel Pellegrini, aims to compete with the best. For this upcoming season, Malaga has already signed great players such as Joaquin Sanchez and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

On the other hand, Real Madrid, who finished second last season behind Barcelona,  starts also their campaign with a difficult game against Athletic Club Bilbao, which ended the 2010-11 season with a 6th place and who could be coached by former Argentina and Chile boss Marcelo Bielsa.

The first round of action will also see games between Real Betis and Sevilla FC. Betis, who were promoted to the Spanish First Division last season, will be hosting and will try to surprise one of the top rivals in the Spanish League, Sevilla.

In another match of the first round, Real Sociedad will be facing Atletico Madrid, while Valencia will play against Osasuna, and Espanyol will face Granada.

Furthermore on the second group, Rayo Vallecano will face Mallorca, Villarreal will play against Sporting Gijon, Racing Santander will be hosting Getafe and Levante will face Zaragoza.

As you can see, the kickoff of the 2011-2012 Spain's La Liga season will be full of great soccer and entertainment. In addition, the fans can not wait for the season to start, especially Barça fans, which are looking for another championship, as they have won 21 La Liga titles.
